The state of Georgia set forth the new Joshua’s Law last January 1, 2007, which makes driving laws a lot more strict for teen drivers. Teen drivers who want to obtain their license before the age of seventeen must first complete the new state approved Georgia driver education course under this law. Schools in the state of Georgia are working diligently to try and add this course to their schools curriculum. Some less populated schools will not have this class as an option however, for one reason or another. Several teens are being home schooled as well, making it harder for them to go to a school which offers this class.
